Former NOC Member Joins the Board of Directors at The Honeynet Project

Emmanouil Vasilomanolakis, Associate Professor in Cyber Security at DTU – Technical University of Denmark, former NOC member who came to us in order to conduct his MSc thesis and research in the field of honeypots, has just joined the Board of Directors at The Honeynet Project!

During his time with our team, Emmanouil has deployed SURFids (Open Source Distributed Intrusion Detection System based on passive sensors and honeypots) as a full functional Intrusion Detection System for NCSR Demokritos.

Background:

The Honeynet Project is a leading international 501c3 non-profit security research organization, dedicated to investigating the latest attacks and developing open source security tools to improve Internet security. With Chapters around the worls, their volunteers have contributed to fight against malware (such as Confickr), discovering new attacks and creating security tools used by buisinesses and goverment agencies all over the world.
